Biography

Jordan Neyland is an Associate Professor of Finance at Bentley University. Before joining Bentley, he was an Assistant Professor of Law at the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University and a Senior Lecturer of Finance at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to full-time positions, he has worked as a Visiting Economist at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and American University's Kogod School of Business.
Professor Neyland’s research interests span law, finance, economics, and accounting, with papers in corporate acquisitions, governance, accounting policy, disclosure, and executive compensation. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Review of Accounting Studies, and Journal of Corporate Finance. He has also been cited frequently in the popular press, such as the Wall Street Journal and Marketwatch.com.
He has lectured in a variety of courses in both business and law schools on topics including financial markets and institutions, mergers and acquisitions, securities regulation, contract law, bankruptcy, and corporate finance. He received a BA in Economics from the University of Texas, a JD from the University of Houston, and a PhD in Finance from the University of Arizona.
