Monir Jalili, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Management at Bentley University. She holds a Ph.D. in Operations and Business Analytics from the University of Oregon, an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tehran, and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering with highest honors from K.N. Toosi University of Technology. Before joining Bentley in 2019, she served on the faculty of Cleveland State University, building on prior industry experience in business excellence, project management and marketing management in the manufacturing and service sectors.
Dr. Jalili’s academic work focuses on retail operations and service environments with a particular interest in pricing, strategic consumer behavior, and sustainability. Her publications appear in top-tier journals such as Production and Operations Management, Decision Sciences, and the European Journal of Operational Research, and her ongoing projects span returnless refunds, boutique fitness studios, and green product line design.
Dr. Jalili teaches courses in Supply Chain and Operations, Pricing, and Service Operations. As an educator, she is known for her structured, engaging, and inclusive teaching style that connects analytical rigor with practical relevance, challenging her students to push their limits of critical thinking, communication, and creativity.
