Biography

Research interests include international finance, economics, and political business cycles, especially as these areas relate to multinational banking and financial services, country risk management, and international relations. Country ratings and international Public Finance and Infrastructure.

Long 25-year career at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Vancouver and Toronto, largely in Corporate and International credit and risk management. An officer of the bank from 1992 to 1998, effectively a Managing Director's Position (Officially, Vice President, Banks, Countries, and Foreign Governments, Risk Management Division, Head Office, Toronto. Granted four educational leaves by CIBC, last from 1998 to 2002 to undertake PhD. studies at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University - Dissertation title, "See How They Run - Linkages Between National Elections and the Behavior of International Banking Flows in Developing Countries.
