A note on the dynamics of a discrete time economic growth model

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

Abstract

We are discussing the character of solutions of a discrete time overlapping generation model of endogenous fertility and growth represented by a nonlinear system of difference equations. The system was proposed by L. K. Raut and T. N. Srinivasa in (Econ. Theory 4, 1994). The study focuses on the application of some difference equations tools in economic growth and also aims at integrating interdisciplinary mathematics with education by using interactive numerical simulation. Numerical work, with different parameter values is generated in R language through an interactive simulation using Shiny for R.
