Abstract
This article analyzes modes of mourning on digital platforms by diasporic subjects. Specifically, I analyze digital texts and practices of mourning in conversation with traditional definitions of the "elegy" and suggest these digitally born texts and practices are signifiers of emergent expressions of mourning and loss that push at and complicate our traditional and national ways of knowing and expressing grief.
