Abstract
This paper examines how four series introduce polyamorous relationships for their Gen Z (high school/college-age) characters: Gossip Girl, The Politician, Genera tion, and Riverdale. These series add polyamory into storylines to push the queerness envelope and gain attention within a genre where teacher/student relationships, porn addiction, dick pics, and threesomes are sexually blasé. If it has become harder and harder to make a sexually scandalous Gen Z television series in the 2020s, what do these series' use of polyamory say about either polyamory or Gen Z queer identity?
