Becoming Creative Creators: Simulating a Global Workplace using Computational Thinking Practices

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaper

Abstract

Since the early days of computer technology expectations for technology-enhanced learning have been high. However, this improved the design, the methodology and the delivery of learning but also has produced methods for modelling active and innovative simulations of global workplace activities. This paper examines a collaborative project between universities in the United States and Romania, in which students simulate a global workplace by participating in teams to create a tangible work product using web-based collaboration tools. The authors argue that participating in such a project also develops computational and critical thinking skills.
