Intelliclean: A Teaching Case Designed to Integrate Data Cleaning and Spreadsheet Skills into the Audit Curriculum

We present the Teaching Notes for “IntelliClean: A Teaching Case Designed to Integrate Data Cleaning and Spreadsheet Skills into the Audit Curriculum.” The purpose of these Teaching Notes is to provide faculty with the necessary resources to integrate the case into their classes in the most effective and efficient manner possible. Appendix A provides suggested solutions for the steps outlined in the data-preparation guidance provided to students as part of the case. Appendix B provides an example of the final deliverable that students are required to submit for the case. Appendix C provides a grading rubric to be used by instructors for the assignment.
