Measuring progress in entrepreneurship research

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

This chapter examines three years of current scholarship in six entrepreneurship-specific journals, three published in the USA and three published in Europe, and compares these with the research published in two benchmark journals. The findings are then compared with the review by Aldrich and Baker (1997), which allows for an assessment of the progress in entrepreneurship research over time. Findings are considered in relation to the normal science perspective first, and then implications are drawn for current and future scholarship in the field of entrepreneurship.
