Abstract
This paper reports on two pilot tests of inter-organizational information systems that were conducted in similar time sensitive situations in emergency healthcare. The results of the pilot tests indicate that consideration of relational feasibility may be just as important as evaluating technical and operational feasibility in IT projects. The concept of relational feasibility recognizes that interpersonal trust interacts with system trust to affect user acceptance. Future research in this area should further test whether explicit consideration of relational feasibility may help organizations increase the probability of successful implementation of inter-organizational information systems.
