Abstract

As personal computers and the Internet became popular in the mid-1990s and early 2000s, colleges and universities constructed computer labs and classrooms for students to connect to the Internet. Now a decade later, as ultraportable computers, mobile devices, and an expectation for fast, reliable, wireless Internet access are the tools of the 21st century student, students visit today's learning spaces to connect with each other for social and collaborative learning.
