Abstract
This paper describes trends defining today’s digital students, learning models to engage them, and collaboration tools and best practices for instructors to introduce them in both formal and informal learning situations. As the use of personal computers, mobile devices, and the Web increases, instructors must consider ways to acknowledge these developments by incorporating technology and an evolving pedagogy in the classroom. The discussion offers learning measures and learning tools that promote technology skills for students to be productive in a digital world.
