N2 - I launched The Angels' Share -dot- World website as a critical and creative endeavor in October 2023 and consistently grew both the audience and the materials on the site. I went on a hiatus from the site in the spring of 2025 due to the birth of my second child. A typical release schedule was one artist interview and one review or list-type feature piece weekly. The large majority of the artists interviewed and reviewed were international, and the readership largely reflected that. There is an integrated YouTube channel The Angels' Share featuring dozens of long-form interviews ranging anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours-plus with artists (such as London-based rapper Icykal, who is also an artist manager and LGBTQ activist), music writers (such as Tamara Harris of urban music and culture publication Kick Mag), and producers (such as Morgoth Beatz, a guitarist for heavy metal bands Winds of Plague and Seven Hours After Violet, and a highly-successful, Grammy-nominated producer in his own right) discussing their biographies and work, with in many instances an emphasis on discussing how that intersects with social issues and social justice, identity, gender, and race.
